I'm ashamed to call myself a catholic.
I came across this article about a South Carolina jack-off priest that told his parishioners that go to his church, if they voted for Obama, they should not receive communion. Has he no faith in his fellow man?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081113/ap_on_re_us/obama_catholicsI'm for pro-choice and a father. I chose life. And I confident that a lot of pro-choice supporters would probably do the same thing when it comes down to it.
That's not the only thing that bothers me about this, but the fact that church wants total control of government by manipulating the faith of the people. They forget that the Government belongs to the people and people belong to God. We are not God like, nor have that mental capacity to be as wise. So it's infuriating that some dress wearing pedo is denying a catholic service because someone wanted to vote to change for the better FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT FOR THE CHURCH!
And this quote just the final slap in the face.
"I don't understand anyone who would call themselves a Christian, let alone a Catholic, and could vote for someone who's a pro-abortion candidate," said Ted Kelly, 64, who volunteers his time as lector for the church. "You're talking about the murder of innocent beings."
Oh really? Bush sent a bunch of troops to Iraq. Sons and Daughters shed blood there to look something that wasn't there. So if we had voted McCain, or previously voted for Bush we're saved? No, I think this idiot pastor needs to look up the commandments again. And I'm not talking about "shall not kill" but the "kneel before graven images" one and remember that we don't worship the president.... We worship God.
