It's the first day of my 6 week-long break from school and Germany just entered the final of the U-20 women's world cup by beating South Korea 5-1, what's not to love? :D
In this tournament, Germany has had 18 goals so far, half of which were scored by Alexandra Popp, who reminds me eerily of Bastian Schweinsteiger. Looking forward to the final on Sunday. :)
It's a shame women's football isn't more popular in Germany, or Europe in general, even if it seems to be getting more attention nowadays. I remember wandering downstairs a few years ago (probably 3, since the next women's world cup will be held in Germany next year, yay!) and seeing my Dad in the living room, watching the final of the world cup. Before that, I hadn't even known there was an international tournament going on...but now I'm ready for next year. I'm going to look up all the dates and watch all the matches I can, even if the commentators on Eurosport are shit.
Anyway. More Sherlock on Sunday, yay! Well, Monday for me. As previously noted, Benedict Cumberbatch (who, as many people have rightfully said, probably has one of the best names in the history of ever) looks a bit like Colin Morgan when seen from the right angle, so I've been thinking about a modernAU!Merlin/Sherlock crossover where Merlin is Sherlock and Mycroft's younger brother or something like that in between rewatching the first episode and procrastinating. It's not like I have applications to write, or anything...
