Kassandra grew up in Nebraska
In case you didn't know! I'm reworking some of the graphic novel pages for Saltwater Witch, including the addition of this sketch of St. Clement's Education Center in Herndon, Nebraska, made up school, made up place, but it's about as far from the ocean as you can get in this hemisphere. If you're going to send someone into exile from the sea, this is the place to go.
That's the front door, up from the circle. The girls wing is on the right, boys on the left, school wing sticks out the back. Michael Henderson teaches science here. Kassandra, Jill, and Nicole are all here. There's a scary basement below ground, and a small river--off to the left, not in the scene--comes pretty close to the school. And where you have water, you can get some pretty interesting things to happen.
