Late Goodbye | Room 74,240 | Aphro as Needed

As the full moon shone through the clouds above, the entire kingdom of Seyruun seemed to glow under the sliver rays, only further illuminating the stunning white architecture of the city. It was a place of white magic, of goodness and truth, where all were equal and life was happy and prosperous. However, to the usually happy princess of the land, ( Read more... )

Amelia's outgoing and at times aggressive personality countered the otherwise shy and demure Mercury. The education had gone both ways, seeing the world through a different set of eyes and growing from that. It was easy to look down at the Earth and try to imagine that motivated people, but with Amelia she could see and hear it right there in front of her eyes. She was motivated to help others, to see that no one was mistreated though sometimes she needed guidance to temper her enthusiasm.

Mercury had provided that, and in so doing got to know the other princess in a way she couldn't have imagined. Now she was having trouble imagining that being gone, as if a hole had opened up in her heart. She'd fill that hole with all the love and passion they would share that night, and if it were at all possible she'd never leave Amelia's life completely, even if letters were all they could share.

The fabric moved easily at first, but as Mercury sought to ease the material down Amelia's upper arm, she found the task more difficult. Her ministrations were distracted by the sensation of Amelia's fingers teasing the back of her dress. They were thinking the same things, a fact that both encouraged her and filled her with anticipation. "Yes," she whispered in return, finger dancing along bare skin until settling just above Amelia's chest. "Do you?"

When not being forced to deal with paperwork or council meetings, Amelia enjoyed her free time, but often lamented not having that much company at home. Her friends were always around while they travelled together, but in Seyruun she was often by herself unless her father could get out of his own duties. Meeting Mercury and dragging her out into her exploits gave the healer someone to confide in and have fun with. Yes, she did get told off a couple of times for being reckless, but it was well worth it to get to know the other girl better.

The thought of never seeing her again, never laughing together, holding hands, or simply getting to see the other princess smile hurt more than words could express. Still, if all they had left to hold onto were memories, they would be best to make sure they were good ones.

Amelia sighed, knowing she'd have to loosen the dress in order to remove it any further. If it meant Mercury could touch more, then it was a must. The problem was undoing the buttons would mean letting go of her lover, which she really didn't wish to do. Her eyes cloudy, she drew back to stare at the other girl, smiling gently.

"Very much." she replied. "I'll help you undress if you'll help me?"

They shared that in common, though in the case of Mercury, it was not completely involuntary. She sequestered herself often in the Moon's library, studying a vast array of topics from history to science. Only Neptune had read more books than she had, but it was gap the younger princess was quickly closing. Coming to Seyruun she had expected to do the same, only to find someone else studying but with a slightly different goal in mind.

It was comforting to share that with someone, expressing herself and talking on a level most others wouldn't have understood. That wasn't to say she hadn't ventured into topics Amelia knew nothing about, but there was plenty of common ground to find among those books. If only she'd been a little bolder, perhaps they could have spent more time, seen more together. Regrets, she wouldn't focus on them, not now.

Mercury eased herself up to give the other princess some room to move, calming her breaths as best she could. Her dress was simply designed, fastened in the back and held upon her body by the shoulder straps. Given their positioning, she knew it would be easier to let Amelia begin, and then move onto her attire next.

"It's a deal," she answered quietly. Guiding Amelia's hand to the fasteners at the back of her dress, she let the Seyruun princess figure the rest out, while slowly turning her body to make it as easy as she could. Her free hand slipped down slowly to cover one of Amelia's breasts, doing nothing more than pressing gently against it through the fabric of her dress. "I'll help you, after you help me."

Even though Amelia was still far off from inheriting the throne, and knew she may not ever do so, she still was diligent in her work, even if she found it dull on occasion. Still, if she hadn't promised herself to work hard, she might not have even been in the library on that fateful day Mercury wandered in. She would never have gotten curious about how she didn't recognise the newcomer, wandered over and started a conversation. And of course, nothing would have come of anything, and they wouldn't be in their current position.

Pulling herself out of the memories, she decided to focus on the now, to enjoy it while she could. She wasted little time in undoing the fastenings under her fingers, teasing the skin with light brushes, bit by bit as it was revealed. The healer rubbed over the soft skin she could reach until the gown wouldn't open further. With that, one hand strayed back up to nudge the straps down, gently allowing more and more flesh come into view.

Her breath hitched as the other princess placed a hand on her chest, pressing against the touch without thinking. The girl's mind was swimming and foggy, leaving her with little else to do buy let her hands wander over everywhere she could in order to reciprocate the gesture.

"Mercury..." she panted. Something needed to be done, but with Amelia's position she couldn't do much more than what she was already. Thus, she hoped her lover would be able to come up with something.

Their first meeting was one Mercury wouldn't soon forget, but it was the debate she had with herself that proved both frustrating and liberating all at the same time. To tell one of the Earth what she was could get both of them into trouble, but she couldn't conceive of lying to the girl, not after they'd become such close and dear friends. She'd even taken the matter up with Venus, who had already been following her anyway. Explaining her position, the kingdom on the moon, and the reason why she had to keep a low profile had been difficult, but without that last hurdle keeping her from opening up completely, it was if nothing was out of her grasp.

How far they'd come since then, growing to admire one another, even when they didn't agree. The held hands, the hugs and then kisses, all of it had been leading to this moment, a perfect moment, if not a little awkward in execution. Mercury had never done anything so radical before, and it added to her excitement in the moment. With each release of the buttons and laces holding her dress in place, her breaths grew deeper until at last the fabric hung very loose about her body.

"I know," she whispered softly, easing herself slowly back onto her knees. She didn't want to give up the closeness they shared, but there was no other way to do what she knew they both wanted to do. Collecting the fabric that had gathered at her waist, Mercury slowly lifted her entire dress up and over her head, allowing the moonlight to pour over her bare skin. She wore only a silky blue undergarment which hugged her hips perfectly. It was Amelia's turn next, but first she needed to be able to reach her. Mercury reached out her hand, to help Amelia sit up, so that she could reach around her and begin to unfasten and loosen the material covering her beautiful skin. "Your turn."

Needless to say, Amelia had been a bit surprised when she was told the truth by the other princess about where she came from. Even for all her naivety she had a hard time believing the tale at first. However it didn't take too much coaxing, since she had no reason to think her friend would lie about something like that. She trusted her too much to have doubts, and it made her feel rather special to think that someone like this girl from the moon would come and visit her so often, nevermind fall in love with her.

The healer was still on her back as the other girl sat up, transfixed as she watched the gown being removed entirely. As the light danced over the skin that was revealed, Amelia found it incredibly hard to not pull Mercury back down. She just wanted so much to hold that slim glowing form and never let go, to taste and feel everything that could be offered. Nevertheless, she willed herself to be patient, the chance would come soon enough.

Taking the hand, the princess sat up, arms winding around Mercury, wasting no time in trailing over the skin. While the other girl was undoing her own dress, Amelia took the opportunity to press a kiss in between her lover's breasts, humming against the flesh.

"If I'm an angel, does that make you a godess?" she laughed softly as she drew back, tongue flicking out to gently lap at the others chest with open mouthed kisses.

The only thing Mercury couldn't do, rather, hadn't tried to do, was sneak Amelia into the moon kingdom. How often she'd thought of dressing her up, passing her off as a servant or low ranking court member, but the risks were great. Had she not received the letter when she did, it was very likely she'd have made the offer within the week. A plan had been laid out, margins for error calculated, and of course a little help from a certain blond haired princess.

Mercury hadn't written off the possibility completely, not after seeing Amelia and how horrible she'd felt. That letter must have been heartbreaking for her to write, more than it was to read it several hours later. The small dots, water stains in the parchment, made much more sense after she thought things over.

Seeing Amelia sitting up in the bed, silhouetted in the bright moonlight, was one of the most beautiful things Mercury had seen. She paused for just a second, to take in the view and commit it forever to her memory. A tug here, a careful movement of fingers there, soon she'd removed or loosened every fastener she could find upon Amelia's dress. She hadn't expected the kiss to her chest, and when she felt it she had no time to hold back the cute little gasp she made.

"I've been called such before, but... I would rather be an angel alongside you rather than a goddess on a tall pedestal above," she whispered, a soft sigh following her words. Her fingers shifted down to slide along Amelia's thighs, easing the skirt of her dress up so she could remove the entire garment without any awkward pauses. Once clear, she did just that, lifting the dress up while giving Amelia ample time to ease back and lift her arms.

While Amelia had did her best not to pry or pester the other princess too much, she was curious about the world she called home. It all seemed so unbelievable, like something out of a storybook. Needless to say if she had been offered the chance to go and see the moon kingdom for herself, there would have been no hesitation. She would have been genuinely surprised as well, considering how by the book her lover tended to be, and wouldn't want to force her to take any risks for her own amusement.

Of course she felt like those hopes had been shattered when everything fell apart. She was torn between gazing at the glowing orb in the sky and ignoring it forever, not sure which would have hurt the most to do. Thankfully, she didn't need to be sad about that anymore, there were more important memories to make.

As she allowed Mercury to loosen the dress, Amelia did her best to pay reverence to the others skin, hands stroking along her back, aroun her shoulders and neck and down her arms. She had kept her lips to the others girls chest, kissing gently and nuzzling her nose into the softness she found. Hearing her partner gasp made her hum happily against the flesh, letting her tongue caress the skin delicately, slowly, teasingly.

Reluctantly letting go of Mercury, she raised her arms and allowed the dress to be lifted over her head, quickly discarding the piece of clothing, now bare apart from her undergarments. Wasting no time, she tugged the other girl back down, drawing her into another kiss as the skin of their chests made contact. Amelia couldn't suppress the moan that escaped into the kiss, holding her tighter.

"I'd still worship you all the same." she managed to reply in between kisses.

In some ways it was the stuff from storybooks, at least that's how many people on the Earth had written it out. The presence of a kingdom on the moon startled some, angered others, but the majority accepted it as legend and folklore, unless visited by someone from that kingdom. They helped facilitate peace, guided those in dire need, and sometimes sneaked away to make friends as Mercury had done.

Mercury wasn't sure what the future would bring, whether she could sneak away to visit her lover after she'd moved away, but wherever the light of the moon touched the ground she knew she could at least watch from afar. It wouldn't be the same, it would never be the same, but if it was all she could have she'd take it and cherish the memories they were making that night.

The princess wasn't accustomed to touches like those Amelia gave to her. Her breath hitched, interlaced with more cute gasps each time a sensitive place was discovered. With Amelia free from her dress, Mercury gladly fell back atop her, kissing her passionately as her hands joined in on the wandering. Such warmth she felt as their skin touched, Mercury did nothing to prevent herself from moaning softly in return. Her fingers delicately trailed along the very edge of Amelia's chest as her lips made their way back to Amelia's neck and began to kiss lower.

"Mmm. And I you," she whispered as she lowered her body slowly. Mercury made certain their bodies touched with every inch she moved, lips moving their way down to the valley between Amelia's breasts. There she paused, blue eyes cast upward. Any doubt she had faded the moment the dresses came off, but she wanted to look upon the face of her lover before going any farther. With that vision locked in her thoughts, her trail of kisses shifted to one side, until her lips encircled one nipple. A delicate touch of her tongue rounded its shape, dancing over the tip as Mercury took in the new sensations.

Amelia had always had an over active imagination; that was how she ended up breaking free of the castle walls and wandering the world with her friends, with permission from her father of course. Stories of adventure and romance were ingrained into her mind, and being the optomist, she often believed in things that couldn't be proven with logic. If there was no way to disprove it, what was the harm in having faith?

Hearing the truth from Mercury was like a dream come true, though it had concerned her for a while. Maybe the other princess was just putting up with her because she feared Amelia would tell someone her secret. She wouldn't blame her, and eventually had in a roundabout way making it clear why she would never tell anyone or get the other girl in trouble; because she loved her. For once her paranoia had paid off it seemed, since she learned her feelings were mutual. That would always be the case, even if they did have to part tonight.

Paying attention the noises, Amelia did her best to focus on the patches of skin that were the most sensitive. She sighed in a pleased manner when the other girl's hands joined hers in exploration, noises from her own throat growing in volume as her lover moved downwards. Every brush of skin made her tremble, her own hands beginning to shake as she touched the other princess' neck and face. When those lips suddenly grazed her chest though, she couldn't help but arch up into the wet heat of those lips.

"Mmmm...M-Mercury." she gasped, fingers threading through the others hair as she felt her body respond.
