As the girl slipped slowly back to consciousness, something was off. It took a moment for her to fully register what exactly seemed out of place, but it soon became obvious when she tried to shift her weight in order to roll over, the many layers of the long skirt of her gown limiting her movement.
Her gown? Why was she still in her clothes if she

Messed up bed, cute girl heading for the door... Must be a new arrival!
"Ah, hello there, miss!" He's got on his best dashing grin, hands clasped behind his back.

Unfortunately, this meant the sudden sound of someone close by caught her off guard. She made an effort turn around, but in her hurry had let one of her skirts fall to the floor. In typical fashion, for Amelia anyway, she stepped on it, caught her foot, and ended up sprawled on the floor, the mass of pink frilly material cushioning the tumble.
Not the best first impression to make.

He stepped up close, with slow, even steps, to show that he wasn't trying to be threatening, and squatted down a bit, holding out a hand. "Are you quite alright, milady?"
Reply
"Um...y-yes, I'm fine." she managed to say, taking the hand hesitantly. She had been through much worse after all.

"Sorry, is this your room m'am?"

When she saw the young man in front her her, she could only gawp, staring straight back at him. He didn't look evil. He didn't sound evil. In fact he seemed just as confused as she was. His words confirmed this for her, which just caused a much more bewildered expression to appear on her face.
"My...room?" she questioned, blinking in surprise before quickly shaking her head and waving her hands in a desperate manner. "No, it's not, definitely not! I mean it can't be, I don't even know where I am."

"You're...probably going to freak out, but we're sort of trapped here. You and a whole lot of people. Some good, and some bad." He had encountered a little bit of both, but did a fine job of saying it all in a steady tone despite how the bad ones had treated him.

Needless to say, nothing she could see in Zack indicated she couldn't trust him. He seemed so big and friendly, and with his sword he almost reminded her of Gourry. Tilting her head, she tried to return the smile, only for her features to quickly change on learning about where she was.
"Are you...serious?" she gawped, her mind slowly taking it's time to process the information, one of her fists beginning to clench.

He might have expected a door to swing open as he passed; that wasn't at all unusual. The hotel really liked causing "coincidences". What he very much wasn't expecting was for said door to reveal what was probably the person he wanted least to ever see here. "Amelia?"

Of course, hearing her name being called by an all too familiar voice made her turn sharply. Her eyes widened briefly, before a bright smile formed on her lips. Thank goodness, someone she knew!
"Mr Zelgadiss! You're here too!" she exclaimed as she hurried over as quickly as she could manage without tripping.

"I think it's probably more accurate to say that you're here, too. I've been here for... a while now." He sighed, leaning against the wall. This was just perfect.

"Huh, but I saw you a few months ago, did you really just disappear after that?" she asked. Granted it next to impossible to know where Zelgadiss was when he went on one of his excursions, but thinking he had been abducted to such a place in that space of time was bewildering.

When the door opened, he turned, wearing one of his creepier, half-dead expressions. "Food...?"

She acted on instinct; by throwing a hard punch.
Slowly, she opened her eyes again, and suddenly realized that the mess of a person she had struck was somone she knew.
"Ah! Mr Gourry! Mr Gourry are you okay?!" she flailed, rushing over to him.

"Amelia? What are you doing here?"

"I have no idea. I was hoping you could answer that for me." she sighed, attempting to help him up. "I am so sorry Mr Gourry, I didn't mean to hit you. I thought you were a villain."
Really, she was maybe being a bit too optomistic to expect many coherant answers from the swordsman. Regardless she felt bad for reacting like that, muttering a quick recovery spell to heal the bruising on his face.

Reaching for the doorknob, Lina braced herself as she put on a catty grin.

"M-Miss Lina!" she exclaimed, her surprise quickly wearing off and being replaced with relief as she struggled to pull herself up. "Oh thank goodness, I'm not here by myself. Do you have any idea what's going on here?" she asked.

She could have SOME sympathy for her, considering she hadn't seen Amelia in ages.

Brushing herself down and trying not to topple over due to the drugs in her system, she tilted her head in a curious manner. "Couldn't you use a spell to try and escape Miss Lina?"
