Help Protect the Polar Bears
Coke's new campaign to save the polar bears is pretty funny. I laugh when I saw it (in spite of myself) because it looks just like one of the old Adbusters/Greenpeace campaigns to get Coke to stop using hydrofluorocarbon-based refrigeration.
I think I have one of those posters kicking around somewhere. I don't even remember or care what the controversy was, but the effort to link Coke to climate change in the 90s seems ridiculous now. The campaign is long over, the web site is gone and currently held by squatters, but the reappearance of the same imagery in an official Coke campaign is pretty funny.
