oh theres no place like home for the holidays.
so on sunday paula and i went to logan's church to see the christmas play he wrote/directed/and played/sang in.
over all it was cute and cheesy but it was cute. the end song made paula and i laugh for ever. it was something like "its not about raindeer...ruldolph ran over grandma....its not about mistle toe.....COOTIES EWWWWW" omg we laughted forever!!! and then after the play there was this sermon and i realized that i needed to become more religous in a sense, considering i've lost touch with god and such. so for the past couple days i've been getting better and i think that im going to be able to handle this.
anyways. after the play logan and i talked and i was asking him if he wrote it and such and this man who logan resembled came over to us and stood there awkwardly and just looked at us and finally asked if paula and i were his friends and logans told him my name and i introduced paula and the man shook my hand and was like "hi im paul, logans dad" he was really pleasant and nice. it was kinda random but whatever. and then i got to 'meet' one of their foster children who was ABSOLUTLY adorable.
on Christmas Eve my parents and i went to my great aunt/uncles house for dinner and such. where my dad and i were basically treated as though we didnt exist. as always since apparently we're not good enough for that side of the family. then we left and went to church. the service was beautiful and we saw some really old friends of ours and it was really nice. then after we went to my mom's cousin, Sharon's house for a little while with my uncle and my cousin alexis. that was fun. because they love us, and we had conversations about penny candy adn old cereal and stuff like that. one of our cousins had a little too much to drink and was like "i remember the co co puffs....CHOOOO CHOOO for co co puffs" and my cousin and i laughed and was like "no...its CU CU for co co puffs." it was great. after that we all went home and we watched a movie.
then today we got up and opened presents. my mom loved her earrings and my dad liked his stuff too. all in all i got some gift cirtificates, clothes (2 pairs of mcc pants/mcc hoodie/target pjs/sweatpants.) they were nice, i got an NSYNC cd, and a new boom box and the harry potter dvd along with the shrek dvd. and OMG my dad bought us a smaller package through RBTL so we got 'season passes' to go see Spelling Bee, Avenue Q, and Wicked. im soooo excited. cause i wanted to see all 3. then around 1 we went to my aunt and uncles house to open more gifts where my uncle from texas sent us all Rochester calendars..... honestly we live in rochester...we know what it looks like. so next year i proposed we send him a Dallas calendar. he also gave us girls a beautiful cross necklace. that i cant wait to wear. then we ate dinner and talked about alot of things. then we came home and watched a movie.
christmas this year was wonderful. this year it meant the most to me too. atleast i think so, i guess its becasue we're all older and the older i get the older my cousin's get, and the more we'll be able to talk about. i guess since we're like 10 years apart. idk its weird. i love my family and i would never trade them for anything different.
