I called Kim to help kick my resumé up to snuff, but she was already settled into working on something for Shauna. I coped with some indulgent and unrelated but nonetheless useful reading. After resisting the temptation to take a nap, I resumed scouring the interwebs for tips. Then I re-read the five pages of glorious colleague feedback I'd collected over the past decade. This was a great reminder that yes, I am actually amazing, and it gave me some good accomplishments and phrases to add. Then I pared it down from four to two pages.
When I was finally able to get her back on the phone she was happily into a glass of wine, but gave me some good feedback and offered to review it with me in the morning. I made the changes we discussed with other tweaks. This one actually looks like it could kick some ass.
After I set tomorrow's to do list, I'll allow myself 15 minutes of Facebook time, then meditation and bed. A nap would definitely have wrecked my sleep. Yay persistence.
