One of my programme managers is located in Lima, Peru. He doesn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish, but we communicate just fine through Altavista Babelfish, spreadsheets, screen shots and document copies.

Another one's based in Beijing, China. She communicates clearly enough for me to understand her English. It's a little extra work, but hey, I don't speak Chinese, and although her sentences are sometimes difficult to parse, at least they're logical. I rarely have to ask for clarification.

Then there's the UK's "Financial Management" person. She's English. She's from f#cking England. Way too often I have to read her emails two or three times to figure out what she means. My favourite part is where she wads up responses to separate emails for several different projects into one, sometimes interweaving the details for several projects into one paragraph. :::::strangle::: *choke*
