I realize how geeky this makes me but I'm slightly disappointed to miss the Comic Book Expo/Fan Expo this weekend. I didn't know about it until today. Not that I'd cancel my cottaging plans, but still.
People I'd want to see: Adam West. Malcom McDowell. Jonathan Frakes, who I've heard is gracious at cons. Charmisma Carpenter (yes, Cordy/Kendal Casablancas), Juliet Landau, James Marsters, Morena Baccarin and others from the Whedonverse. Zachary Quinto (Sylar from Heroes) WAS scheduled but canceled. Hayden Panettiere (also from Heroes) was postponed until 2008. Maybe they had a filming conflict. A whole lot of Star Trek and Star Wars people will be there. Also attending are some of the people associated with Chad Vader, but not Rob Matsushita, who appeared in one episode. I'd be disappointed if I missed Matushita anyway. Wil won't be there either because he's giving a keynote address at another event.
I await Cottage O'Clock with anticipation. "The Second Annual Beer Olympics" will take place there. I was not part of the first nor have I been in training, but sometimes you know that you'll have a good time just getting to play.
In other news, my wireless router is installed. The set up/installation/instructional CD didn't work as it should so I had to make it work, then the instructions were inaccurate and the fields on the website weren't exactly as indicated on the CD. Yay for being technologically smart. Some people would have gotten flustered. To me it was a piece of cake.
Speaking of cake, I baked a banana chocolate chip cake (with Skor bits) to take to the cottage. Yum.
