1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
lived on my own, sang a decent part in front of an audience in a production
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't remember from last year but this year I would like to work hard enough and get good enough to get into the music progrm of my choice...also to maybe somehow make time to have a social life, but i don't think those two things go together very well, and i want the former more than the latter right now
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope
4. Did anyone close to you die?
my great aunt died, but we weren't close
5. What countries did you visit?
i didn't leave the country... but i did go to puerto rico briefly and the virgin islands
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
a living situation that i'm completely happy with, lots of sleep, and less stress
7. What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? october 14-16 were good ones
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?learning how to sing, singing actual roles in front of people
9. What was your biggest failure?
managing stress, keeping in touch with people
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
had some vocal problems and developed horrible eczema. yuck.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
tickets to the opera
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? ian for being amazing and keeping me sane, my mom for always being supportive, and allie and toast for sticking by me even though i have trouble balancing my crazy amount of work with keeping in touch
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
uhh one word: eggplant. also numerous other extension people.
14. Where did most of your money go?
food, music, other living expenses
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
meeting renee fleming and having her sign my book!!
16. What song will always remind you of 2005?
"orpheus with his lute" by vaughn-williams because i sang it sooo many times

a) happier or sadder? Happier

c) richer or poorer? Poorer!
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
i wish i'd had time to enjoy the city more, and i wish i'd done more sleeping!

worrying
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
i spent it in saint john...with flying roaches and scorpions! eek!

yes :o)

no

law and order!! (the original, though, none of the svu and ci crap)

hate is a strong word

maria callas and how she's my god

amazing music training

a place to live that i really love

umm the last movie i saw and loved was "signs," but i know that didn't come out this year
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? ian came in from seattle!! and allie and i saw an amazing show, and we ate chinese food and went to the park, then i had rehearsal for a million hours. oh and i turned 20.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
getting more sleep, not be stressed all the time
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
sweaters, jeans, pearl earrings, uggs..it's kind of my uniform
34. What kept you sane?
ian! and central park, and fashion magazines

sam waterston!! waht a hottie

it all sucked...heh i don't follow politics too closely i won't lie

my cats and all my buddies from high school

i don't think i met anyone new who i was crazy about

sleep and lots of water and lots of practice time = a much more productive time as a voice major
