The Doctor leaned against the TARDIS as the snow slowly fell Sardicktown. Christmas saved, the lives of everyone on board the ship were saved, especially Amy, and Kazran was a man for the better. Not that the guilt of manipulating time to such an extent didn't weigh on him. For all the lives he saved, the one that meant the most to Kazran was going to go out. And that was enough to make Kazran resent the Doctor for the rest of his life.
Though, he deserved it, the Doctor reasoned. He changed a man's entire life, two timelines in one man's head. In the end he was still going to be alone. It was an odd mirror of himself, which was why he reassured Kazran it was better to have loved and have a broken heart rather than not to love at all. A lesson that Rose Tyler had to teach him again.
The Doctor folded his arms and glanced up at the cloud bank.
