He eventually had Martha take a photograph for me, later noticed that I still have a Polaroid of him in my room, then destroyed both pictures and left me a note that amounted to him saying I need to move on.

Even so, there are gentler and kinder ways to do what he did. His method was completely inappropriate and insensitive.

I want to be able to live with myself. If I ignored something he did to help me, then I wouldn't be able to do that.
