I'm thankful for my window seat

There are a couple of trees turning different shades of yellow, orange, and red across the street from my office building, and the contrast of them against the ever-so-blue sky reminds me that the world is a truly amazing and beautiful place, if only we're willing to open our eyes for a moment.

I didn't actually need reminding, I hadn't forgotten, but the reminder was welcome anyway.
