Ahhhhhhhhhh Texas is HOT AS SHIT. I love it.
I just got back from my long and well-deserved vacation in Canada. It's always so hard to leave all my relatives behind, everyone gets tearful at the goodbye. Everyone had such a good time. I found out my oldest cousin is PREGGERSSS AHHHHHH. I'm so freakin' excited for her. I also found out my second youngest cousin has become annoying as shit in the past seven years. She's eight now, almost nine. I hope I was never like that at that age. She's constantly interrupting and shoving herself in the spotlight trying to cram in all the attention she can. She's cute as hell sometimes, but jesusgod, she makes me rethink whether or not I really want kids.
On a side note, I've decided that I want boys. I've thought that before, but now I have finalized my opinion that boys would be SO MUCH EASIER to raise should I ever decide to have children.
Anyway, the family reunion was, in short, incredible. There were sixteen people there altogether. And one toilet. That was the only real problem. We rafted down the Columbia and played Ladder Golf (Richard and I actually won the tournament we held, so hooray!) and Bocci Ball and cards and dominos and went fishing and hiking, and ahhhhh it was so fun. I can't believe it's over already. The only thing I missed about home was sleeping in a real bed and driving. I can't sleep in a tent comfortably for more than a week, and I'm pretty sure I got a bad chest cold coming on now. I don't know why I missed driving. That seems to happen, that if I go for like a week without driving anywhere I get restless. Man, I saw a bald eagle swoop down into the river and catch a fish, not even thirty feet away from me. I fucking love Canada. I love mountains and rivers and STAARRRRS. There was a meteor shower while we were there! I saw the most amazing meteor shoot across the sky and light it up like it was daytime! Oh my god!
I guess now I have to hit the ground running and get my move-out finalized at UC, then sign the lease at Richard's apartment. I also have to call work and make sure they didn't fire me for not showing up for shifts that they scheduled me for when I told them I was going out of the country. I also need to get all my laundry done and go back to Denton. Also, transport the picarats (which I've heard have gotten very, very fat staying with Richard's animal-loving mother for ten days). AND I need to check out my schedule for school, make sure that's still solid. And check on my scholarships. And get textbooks and art supplies.
Holy fuck, why did I even bother coming back from vacation?
OH YEAH, for the fun things on my list of to-dos. I have to see Scott Pilgrim, and The Expendables. I also have to meet Ferdino's boytoy!
