Well as it turns out, and I'm sure you'll all be dissapointed to hear, that the owners didn't trust me to run the lab efficiently by myself, and had Kris continue to work Monday's until they are satisfied with my knowledge and prowess.
Aw bugger.
And I got worked up over nothing! Well that's just how things go, I guess. As it turns out, I messed up twice, but apparently one of them counts for two, so I got three "Demerits" from Kris. Lol... I don't know why I do simple mistakes, like forgetting to change the P.D's... I do that on every single lens! Bah, well I'll remember tomorrow.
So even though I wasn't in charge, the day was still pretty crazy, from noon on. My boss spent the morning calling all her reps to bring in frames, so she could buy some to stock us and the new Langley store which just opened today. Well... when we closed at 5:30, they were just wrapping up. We had a stedy influx of reps coming and going which rivaled the customers themselves! SO today was still pretty crazy. As it turned out, in the end, Kris spent more time on the phone, out front and on the hearing side that I pretty much did everything myself after all. I prefer to get both feet wet, so I consider it a good day. Minus the demerits.
I was going to write all this earlier, but I got all wrapped up watching Heroes. I wanted to catch it when the season first started, but I forgot when it was on and missed a couple, so I put it off. I've had the whole first season for a couple weeks now, but haven't gotten around to watching them until today... wow. It's just as good as everyone has been saying! Crazy.
Yesterday was pretty neat, too. I got to be a pirate and a gorilla. Honestly, I watch some of my other friends who go about their day to day lives, and I don't understand how they can do it without something like that in it! I would go nuts. Jim and I even had a sword fight during the skit, and at one point I vaulted over a piece of wood... and I bruised my hip. Kind of annoying, but all part and parcel of the whole acting gig! Afterwards, the wonderful Mrs. Allen threw us a pizza party, and I got to put on a gorilla costume -- which I may be affecting during the skits next year -- and "monkey" around for a bit. It was really alot of fun.
I've really started to grow up in alot of ways recently, and I find it alarming. Apart from working full time, and doing all that, so far in the last week I've cooked, cleaned, and gone shopping. If you knew anything about me, you'd know that I do get around to doing all these things... just usually over say, a year. Not a weekend.
Crazy.
Fantastic.
What's next? I can't wait and find out.
