And now we bring you to our next segment of the week -- the end! Or, really, the begginning of the end.
So in a cruel twist of fate, it seems that even though I'm sorley undertrained when it comes to running the lab, I start being the official lab guy on Monday! As in, this Monday. Now, to put it into perspective, imagine you're training to be a cook, you can use all the tools, mix all the ingredients, and have assisted making pretty much everything. And then suddenly, you're all alone, and there's no cookbook. It's like, hey, I'm sorry sir but I can't make you that Chicken Cordon Bleu, but if you'd prefer I can whip you up some Mac and Cheese or a nice bagel with cream cheese!
That's pretty much how it's going to go. To be fair, I've tried my hardest to pick up as much as I could to be prepaired for this eventuality, and I am mostly ready. But there's still some things I can't do on my own, and some things I should know how to do that I still mess up. So if you think of me when you're praying, offer a little one up for poor Rob on Monday. Thanks!
Today we started training the fresh meat out front. It'll be nice to have a little extra help around the place, since with the shortage of people I've been doing alot of dealing directly with the customers. Not a big issue, and since I don't know alot I generally just pass them off anyway, but I'd prefer to keep my exposure out there to a minimum for a while so I can adequetly learn that which is nessisarry in the lab first and foremost. On the other side of the coin, yesterday I was nearly the top salesman, and brought in nearly a quarter of all the sales. Not bad for a newbie.
I went shopping today. I'm almost tempted to go back into my archive and see if I can find the entry with my last shopping experience in it. I would have written it down, since it doesn't happen very often and I see it as a big deal. I picked up some good stuff, like fixings for Sausage and Egg McMuffins, stringy cheese things for my lunch, and the usual suspects like coke, chicken fingers and mac and cheese. A bit more variety in the Kraft Dinner department, too, with some neat spiraly things... and I don't know why I'm telling you all this since it's pretty inconsequential. Heh, anyway...
Tomorrow I'm a pirate again, and there's even a neato sword fight as well. Hopefully Mr. D is there to record it, since I think it'll be a gooder, if I start memorizing my lines soon...
I have a couple old skits on disc right now, waiting for a good opportuinity to throw them up on YouTube, so keep an eye out for that. Looks like my day off next week will be Wednesday, so that'll more than likely be the day I get around to doing it.
Well thanks for coming out, it was nice talkin to yah as always. Cheers~
