Valentines Day and San Antonio
I never have any time to post anymore but I promise that I do read. I enjoy reading all of your posts.
Valentines Day
I woke up and went to the bathroom and on the kitchen sink was a few of those word magnet things (each word was a heart) that said all sorts of wonderful things. It was such a surprise and he made quite a few sentences. So sweet.
I got a diamond watch (don't worry, nothing too terribly expensive). I had been wanting a new watch for a while. It was mostly sweet that he noticed that and bought me one of the ones I had been oogling. I got a few other goodies too that were cute. I bought his gift a week ago but it didn't arrive in time! Drats.
We went out to breakfast, had pancakes and some other breakfasty things. Then we went to see Slumdog Millionaire. We must be two of the last people on earth to see it. Yes, it was good. Then we came home and got ready for dinner. He made early dinner reservations at a place I hadn't been to yet. I've been wanting to go to this place since our second date! Every time we've gone there since (mostly on whims) it's been booked. Well the food was most excellent. I had a steak with some potatoes and creamed spinach. Yum. The steak was perfectly seasoned. After dinner, we spent a leisurely night at home watching a tv show that we taped. Oh yes, we are boring but we like it.
San Antonio
Last week we were in San Antonio for 4 days. I was there attending a conference and he decided to come along. I thought he was nuts for packing shorts but boy was I the dummy. The weather there was nice, if a bit humid. Unfortunately, I caught a cold since the room our conference was in was extremely cold which of course ment that for lunch, I had to sit outside on the Riverwalk in the hot hot sun and then go back to the freezing room.
The conference it self was good. Learned a lot of things.
We went to a few restaurants that were featured on Diners, dives and drive-ins with that Guy Fieri guy. They were all busts. YUCK!
I caught a terrible cold, congested and a little fever. So I'm in the office for a bit today then heading home soon. UGH, this is my second time with this stupid muck in two months and it really sucks. My brain is not functioning correctly so sorry if nothing sounds cohesive.
