Here is my version of this perennial favorite, a real chestnut, made popular among the Greatest Generation by the sing-along records of Mitch Miller and revived for the psychedelic set by HAL the computer in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Joe Newman remixed it and added glockenspiel & bicycle sounds.
Has anyone ever actually been at a party where someone got out the Mitch Miller records and everyone sang along? I'm sure it must have happened. I've just never personally known anyone who would own up to it.
By the way, they're called the Greatest Generation because they DEFEATED FASCISM.
