As I'd mentioned before, for the most part I did like the opening ceremony. And I still stand by that. But some of the information coming to light afterwards does put a bit of a downer on it. Watched the Four Corners thing on human rights in China.. it wasn't anything that I hadn't read/heard about before, but it really did just make me feel ... simultaneously angry, sad, depressed, helpless.. and also no small amount of admiration for those that continue struggling for a better state of affairs.
