Hiizumi Enjin ♋ 5/?? derpchan April 18 2010, 16:37:15 UTC
[ Personality ] :
To describe him in one word is impossible, but if I had to, I would say "enigma". Why? Well... Enjin is mysterious. Everything from his past, to how he mostly became like he is, to 'who' he truly is... is unknown. All that one can say for SURE about him (and undoubtedly, he LIKES it this way) is that he is no longer among the living. Which is why he is in the body of Nanami Ao's older brother, Gin. The fact that he is willing to pretty much all but sever the soul of Gin so he can steal his body says a lot about his true nature: Enjin cares for no one but himself and his own goals. He's fueled by hate for the Hiizumi main line, and the lies told by them about his predecessor, Enyou. But whatever he may say, his true motivations; why he is attempting to cross the dimensions and destroy Sakurashin-machi... are known only to himself. He is a ruthless, powerful person, and he'll manipulate any possible angle he can to get what he wants accomplished, and to get the job done.

He doesn't care what happens even to his own relatives, and he loves to openly throw salt in any wound he can find in the residents of Sakurashin. Especially when it comes to poor, poor Ao, who is his biggest victim of all. He highly enjoys being her 'brother', and as is apparent, could care less what effect he might have on her and others emotionally and mentally... even physically. He's manhandled Ao twice, the second time to STEAL her own Satori power (more about that later). He has also done this to Kyōsuke's younger sister, Tōka, who is also an Oni of great power, but who must wear a shackle to control it. He doesn't discriminate on his victims.

He doesn't have many weaknesses. He's a cunning man--though calling him 'human' is a stretch by any standard. If he has a heart, or had a heart, it's long gone (both literally and figuratively, since... well, he's dead), along with any innocence he may have had. It died a long time ago with his body, or he never had one, I imagine. Because of this, he is also ruthless, cold, calculating, and concise. He generally doesn't care if he voices his plans to a certain extent, either: he's direct about what he wants, unless he can manipulate someone, in which case he'll be more than happy to keep talking, which seems to be one thing he does love to do. Taunting, and watching Akina and his friends be shocked by what he does is nothing short of amusing to Enjin. Of course, talk of his family can anger him easily, which makes it the one area he doesn't tolerate sarcasm or joking. He loathes the main family, and finds their sheer ignorance intolerable.

He's a bit like a snake and a fox all in one: a combination of guile and slippery cunning, ruthlessly stalking his prey and snapping them up, crushing them slowly, then sinking in his fangs to poison them... just before letting them go, barely alive, so he can watch them die slowly in amusement and thrill. He derives great pleasure from other's suffering (which he believes they likely deserve, anyway, and even if they don't, he couldn't care any less), and his capacity for violence and hate, loathing, and amusement at the most horrific things is positively astounding, but in the worst possible way. ... What is worse, possibly, is that this is all supplemented by the fact he has extreme power at his fingertips, so to speak. He'll do anything to further his plans. Anything. And he will never give up on them. That said, he also knows when to not pick a fight and run away. After all, he who fights and flees lives longer to pursue their goals.
