Back for almost two years now, I'm still surprised by people who relocate to Phoenix -by choice-. Did you look at a map before you put the U-Haul in gear? Did you notice our voting record on civil rights issues? How about our educational rankings? Do you know what SUMMER IN THE DESERT means?
If it weren't for family I would never have come back. I've met some lovely, fabulous people but... I just don't cotton to this place.
And it has nothing to do with the fact that I had a very emotional dream about decorating my Chicago apartment for Christmas and discussing with my best friend the proper placement of a large beautiful wreath. It has nothing to with that at all.
