Why oh why is every open rec community (like stargateficrec, crack_van, crack_broom...) overrun with posts?!? This is more than just annoying! *gah*

EDIT: Yes, I know it's the end of the month, but still...

My, I'm wordy today...

Why on earth does anybody post a finished story of 25,000 words in at least 13 or 14 installments?!?! Even on LJ that's not more than 3 posts! That doesn't make any sense!
