Highlander

Transposition, by Tessa Rae. (Duncan/Methos; Cassandra, Joe, Original Character(s)) -- Another double Quickening, only this time the effects on Duncan MacLeod and Methos have an unexpected twist.
Why: Long and funny and hot.

Merlin

The Crown of the Summer Court, by astolat. (Arthur/Merlin) -- "The king sent me to get you," Merlin said, with a tone that implied strongly that he wasn't rolling his eyes where Arthur could see, but just wait until his back was turned. "He said you're to get changed into formal clothes and meet him in the Great Hall, there's a delegation coming from the Summer Court."
Why: This story has been recced almost everywhere and there's a reason. Intriguing plot, hot sex, character growth and in turns hilariously funny, sweet and exciting.

NCIS

In-Law, by rageprufrock. (DiNozzo/Gibbs) -- "I'm not the one who's been divorced three times," Tony pouts.
Why: It's Pru. So funny and human and I adore her Gibbs.

Stargate SG-1

As Long As It Takes, by gayas_world. (Gen; Daniel, Jack) -- As Long As It TakesThe walls here were not white. Where he had been before, there had been white walls and white floors and a bed and a chair and nothing else, until he had written on the walls.
Why: Sad and poignant with a sprinkle of hope. Wonderful 'what-if'.

Supernatural

Like a Rolling Thunder Chasing the Wind, by elise_509. (Castiel/Sam; Dean, Uriel) -- Through 4.03 "In The Beginning" Also: Includes a character from 4.07 "It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester", but no plot points.
Why: Oh, so hot and lovely. This is the story that made me fall in love with Castiel/Sam.

Mercy Comes With the Morning, by elise_509. (Castiel/Sam; Dean, Uriel) -- Sequel to Like a Rolling Thunder Chasing the Wind.
Why: Brilliant sequel, loved Dean here. Castiel and Sam made my heart ache for them.

Regeneration, by tahirire. (Sam, Dean/narrator. (it's a surprise)) She loves seeing them like this; her boys, jostling for space at the grill, smiling free and easy as they argue over when to flip the steaks. She guesses that she’ll always call them that; her boys, even though there’s no one denying that they’re grown men now, have been for years. - Vague for the series so far - future!fic, post apoca!fic.
Why: Beautiful story, with a very nice twist.

Threading the Needle, by embroiderama. (Gen; Sam, Dean, John) Sam had never thought of sewing as women's work.
Why: Wonderful story about Sam, lovely and unique.
