I've always been a bit rubbish at paying bills. Bills from Scottish Power, particularly. Now I'll concede that most of the blame for not paying the bills lies with me, but if we consider both sides of the equation, it would be a lot easier for me to pay Scottish Power if they were to recognise and acknowledge that they are the ones who supply me

They'll find your details a lot quicker if you file a small claims action. Never mind the £50, go for about £200. 'Damages' and 'distress and inconvenience' are key terms here. Not that they'd bother defending at that amount...
