Wireless internet at Borders sucks...
I started work at TJ's yesterday. There's only one word that can describe the mass of emotions I felt... overwhelming. The second they started me, I began to miss everyone at the Livermore store. They paired me off with a girl named Melissa and had me working perimeter until the store closed at 9. They have 3 coolers... one for fresh and meat, another for milk and juices, and the other for cheese and dry and deli. Insane. And they have one person working one thing for an entire shift. In other words, they have someone working fresh all day, another person working bread all day, and others to work deli all day, meat all day and the milk all day. That's how much crap they sell.
Their night crew is about 12 - 15 people and they got in 22 pallets last night. We were working until 12:30. Everyone is really nice, though. I had to explain where I transfered from about twenty times because I met more people there at the Capitola store than the amount of people working total at the Livermore store. Overwhelming.
It's definitely going to take me time to get used to it there, they do things a lot differently than at the Livermore store. Not to mention I'm going to need weeks to learn everyone's names.
But at least they gave me the day off today :) so I have a day to ... eh... recuperate?
I guess that's all I have for now.
I hope everyone is doing fine.
