don't kid yourself, choices now have an impact later, no matter how snugly you wrap yourself in denial. self-assertion can become a disease, and putting blinders on is exactly that- blinding yourself. it's easy to think you have a support system until it's not there when you want it.

reciprocation is a funny thing, some people don't understand the inherenet generosity involved... or they just refuse to reciprocate. putting yourself on an island of self-rightousness cuts you off from all connections to land. nighttime cries echo without a response, regardless of how loud or who hears. get real.
i hope that island is real interesting, enough so to stay occupied, or at least as nice as i'm led to believe.
