the latest studio assignment is killerrr. first we made all these planes through the room (our studio) using bright orange surveyor's tape, marking the intersections as if the plane was slicing through the space. that was all fun and games. then we had to sketch five different locations that conveyed the most information about our planes. again, fairly laid-back and not really all that demanding. now on the other hand... we have to take everyone's scaled drafts and transfer them onto chipboard, cut scale models of all the planes then figure out a way to intersect them all so that our final result is a model of the room that doesn't actually employ ceilings/walls/etc. its probably too abstract to really describe in words but it's a bitch and that's all i'm trying to explain. then again, i can appreciate the concepts behind the entire assignment and sort of figure that i must be getting something out of all this work... it is a college education afterall.
