Dear Michelin,
Congratulations on achieving the second-place Consumer Reports rating on your X Radial DT tires. May I ask why they only have a speed rating of S? I'd like to take advantage of the even-better-than-otherwise-top-rated-Goodyear ice braking, but my car demands an H.
Sincerely,
tfofurnDear Subaru,
Why does the 2002 Legacy L Sedan require H-rated tires? If I understand the rating system, an S rating is good for ten-minute bursts of 112 miles per hour. The H means a ten-minute burst of 130 miles per hour. Can a less aggressive driver like me get by with an S? Is it something magical about all-wheel drive that requires the H?
