Sunday's Simpsons Scheduling Shenanigans

Jan 09, 2006 23:57

Dear FOX Network,

By luck, I saw a commercial Sunday morning that clued me in to the broadcast schedule for Sunday night. In particular, that there would be ninety minutes of Simpsons starting at 7:00. Checking my TiVo's To Do list, I saw that I'd only be recording the one at eight. Was this really going to be a three-part episode? I told the TiVo to record the "To Be Announced" hour at 7:00. Just for kicks, I checked TV listings elsewhere, too, and they also reported "To Be Announced" for that time slot. Why so coy with the programming decision? Did you want to make sure TiVo users would have no chance of seeing another sixteen minutes of commercials? (Ha, ha!)

I hadn't seen any of the three episodes. The one with Lisa and the graveyard was mediocre. There were several excellent laughs in the Marge and the red hat women episode. The new father for Homer episode was pretty good, but due to your annoying practice of starting everything a little late, I missed the ending.

Oh, and I missed the credits for Family Guy, too. Was that really Frank Sinatra, Jr.?

Still waiting for Futurama's resurrection,
