Highlights of Barbershop Camp

  1. In addition to my usual tag singing enjoyment, this trip featured singing tags more than an octave lower than usual. This put the tenor parts in baritone country, which made them hard to sing with a straight face.
  2. Saturday night's concert, with performances by Storm Front, Wheelhouse, and The Haps.
  3. Hearing Most Happy Fellows warm up in the cafeteria before the Saturday show with their smoothest repertoire.
  4. Getting to know the members of two Top 20 quartets. Even though neither really registered on my radar as important at the convention, I'll be cheering heartily for both in the future.
  5. Extensive chats with lead Larry, who gave some interesting insights into the life of a champion. Learned some other interesting tidbits about being a champion while driving Regents baritone Ron to the airport.
  6. Getting home, taking a nap in my own bed with my own pillows, and taking a shower in my own shower with my preferred soap and shampoo.
