A/N: My headcanon details Cybertronian ages like this: 
Sparkling: human equivalent ages of 0 - 16/17
Mechling: ages of 16/17 - 25
Adult/mech: 25 and beyond.

I'm writing this out to prevent any potential squickiness with ages here as there is implied intimacy during the flashback scenes. In my country, 16 is a legal age and so I've based the fic with that in mind. No intimacy takes place prior to receiving their adult frames though.
