Seeker Clone Mafia Part II - Wind Turbine Project

TFA Slipstream

Slipstream sits in her office in the WTP Research Facility. Her terminal displays some information from the Facility servers, which is still only partially translated. A small collection of datapads allows access to Project data with Cybertronian operating systems. The numbers would indicate the Project itself is on goal. They have already broken ground at the community's turbine farm site. Production of turbine parts continues within the Facility. It looks like requests may be starting to come in from members of the community to use the Facility and its resources for their own projects, in exchange for various fees and favors given back to the community through the WTP.

Otherwise, things were not going that well. All her efforts had not found her any more rank or power than when she had arrived. Brothers appeared and disappeared, such that her direction was confused. Were any of them yet lost in space or imprisoned in jail and waiting for her? If they were, she should redouble her effort to gather energy and escape, in order to help them. Or, would they come to her here again? In which case she should gather energy and await them...secure some base of operations to offer upon their return.

I don't slagging know anything, anymore. Maybe I should write in a journal!

Sometimes, it was like some seductive voice whispered to her "Picture, you're the Queen of everything, far as the eye can see: under your command." And yet, she experienced some hazy realization that she was in a windowless room. The only comfort was the fact that her vision included communication devices and data lines. Yet, even technical devices had lately not brought any sense of power or accomplishment.

Sure the Facility to which she played caretaker had powerful devices, but each was limited. The nuclear test devices and their isotopes were only risk without containment. The large-scale negatronic forcefield? It was such a power hog it likely could only be used in extreme emergency by sacrificing power to run anything else. It's only real usefulness would be to keep the tremendous catastrophe inside, should the containment on the nuclear isotopes fail. The automatons? Not by any means an army. They had been proven, in what tests of their ancient transport device that were conclusive, to lose function when away from the Facility. Their range outside was roughly ten meters. And the transporter itself? Tests were just inconclusive. The lack of progress was frustrating and was making Warp anxious.

Even her networking skills failed. She had lost most of the bargaining power she'd fleetingly had with Megatron. There was little hope of promotion, not that he seemed to care about such things. And...not that she blamed him. If she, young Seeker and clone, was frustrated in this place, she could not begin to imagine what effect the mysterious peacefulness had on a legendary Decepticon Warlord. It was cruel, if there were even a power behind it all, to put Decepticons in such a place. They needed struggle and opportunity to prove themselves. And sometimes, they just needed to fight. It wasn't the same with rules. Just wasn't. And she'd been trying to prove herself without fighting all this time, by proving her intelligence. And what came of it?

Her taking of well-intentioned advice to forget the past, and those she had been attached to yet denied, by having fun with new friends had not gone so well as she expected. She hadn't even seen the other Skywarp in a long time; since his trinemate got bonded. Had he found a way out? And Ransack? Clearly interested...in how femme she was and how pretty she was! That had never been what she was looking for! The whole turning out femme thing was not what she wished to be remembered for, yet it was what so many noticed. At least Lockdown had sought her out for her knowledge!

She had promised to comm him. He had been interested in what amounted to a second date, but specifically in receiving a tour of the WTP R&D Facility. Question was whether he were more interested in her, or the architecture.

But it's what I would do in his position. Use every networking contact I had to advance my own interests. It's almost Decepticon of him. Slipstream smirks at the thought. Maybe he thinks he can kill two birds with one stone, as it were.

Slipstream sends the comm to Lockdown: //Hey Coattails, you want that tour we discussed? You'll need an escort through the building, for your own safety, of course. But, guess what, I've somehow managed to spare the time to make myself available, just for you.//

general WTP RP notes: Post and WTP plot is is open to all; members of the Project may appear and go about their work; prospective members should mention their interest in their first comment; other characters may visit the facility, but should be prepared for some security procedures, announcements of restricted areas or recruitment speeches.
Seeker Clone Mafia subplot RP notes: The subplot is only conditionally open to other players. There is a possibility that, after this post, this plot will have to be dropped or go on hiatus, due to player availability and technical issues. At best, I need time to "re-write" the plot to use some different methods and to incorporate conspirators other than only Seeker clones. If anyone is interested in some version of this plot continuing, let me know. Otherwise, I am open to new subplot ideas.]
