Dammit Magnus! Stop it!

By now I am sure quite a few of you have seen my ramblings about my muses, particularly Not-Maggy, who gets very vocal about plot-bunnies about Optimus Prime. Anyway, these are a few that are very heavily based on bunnies previously posted here... just that Not-Maggy has pounced on them and twisted them his way (which is, as per usual, Magnus/Optimus).

1. Heavily based on number 26 here by alabaster_demon:

Unicron got a clue of the future, showing him who the next Prime would be. As he has always tried to find ways of getting the Matrix and destroying it, but failing because he cannot get his proxies close enough to the ruling Prime to be effective, he creates a new proxy who will get close to the future Prime while he is still a humble worker mech.

To this end, he creates Ariel, to seduce Orion Pax and be at his side when he becomes Prime, her eventual mission to become his Bonded Consort, so she can influence him and eventually take the Matrix from him.

Primus however finds out what Unicron is doing and creates his own proxy to oppose Ariel, a mech named Dion, whose mission is to prevent Ariel from bonding with the Prime Orion is destined to become, by becoming the Prime's Bonded Consort himself.

Neither Ariel or Dion consciously know about their origins, or know they are unconsciously following missions given to them by their divine masters, all they know is that they both want Orion and have no wish to share with the other.

When the war comes and the three of them are upgraded and Orion becomes Optimus Prime, the fight between Elita-1 and Ultra Magnus carries on, becoming more open than before - now that the mech they both want has become Prime, the important part of both their missions is pushing them harder to gain Optimus for themselves.

It all comes down to how Optimus Prime will choose.

2. Once every few eons, Primus sees fit to make a mech in production into his drone. These drones have no true spark of their own, just a partial spark that looks like it is normal but is a remote extension of Primus himself, that can walk around the surface of Cybertron, living like a normal mech and interacting with Cybertronian society.

This time around, the drone of Primus goes by the name of Dion, a humble worker and friend of a fellow worker, Orion Pax. Through Dion, Primus sees what has become of his children and how corrupted their society is, seeing the war that is coming, and will do anything to see Orion lives through it, even if that means influencing the Matrix to choose Orion as the next Prime, as he cannot bear to lose this friend he is becoming more and more fond of, to the extent that he wishes to claim Orion as his consort, an honour no Prime has had for millions of years of Cybertronian history.

primus, optimus prime, ultra magnus, g1, elita-1, unicron
