*Sigh*
I had hoped that by dropping off the list last month, I would be able to work on other pieces, and actually get something written.
Alas, it is not to be.

Take the joke with a grain of salt, please (answer at the end)

Why did Ironhide change his armor color from red to black? )

When fandom becomes canon it's either due to telepathy , or because the idea makes sense and is rational.
Besides, once the original creator allows others to create 'official' worlds, realms, and characters/situations in his/her work, then even the Expanded Universe was once created in a fan's mind, but now has the official backing to it.

'Fanfic authors might be more consistent than the official sources'? YIKES!
Could be because if they don't, the readers might flame them (electronically), or blacklist 'em, or avoid them at all costs. No more feedback, reviews, hits or anything.
Paid creators on the other hand, don't have the immediate feedback, and are sometimes protected from irate fans. The only way they know people aren't following is because sales are dropping off. And even then, so easy for us to 'forget' or 'ignore' certain choices we cannot accept.

So, you are not a fan of the TF novels? Guess its a good thing I've not had money to spend on the newest books. Do you have a comic series you recommend, cause right now I'm limited to what cartoons I can catch on Television. (well, the wikipeda and similar sites are available, but those sources are a bit dry).
I'll take some fan-based recommendations too, if there are any stories that stand out.

I'm not the best to ask about the comic series since the last one I actually read was the G2 series. I've heard the IDW and the Dreamwave series spoken very highly of but I haven't read them yet myself.
