A G1 what if...
Looking at this piece on deviantART: http://toaveka.deviantart.com/art/Sunset-in-Normandy-92906287 led me to think of the following idea for a G1 story. Despite the new outside threat posed to all of humanity by the arrival of the Cybertronians on Earth in 1984, it ultimately has little effect on ongoing Cold War tensions. In 1986, after only two years on Earth, a west-vs-east World War III breaks out. While still fighting against the Decepticons, the Autobots face a decision unlike any other. Will they enter Earth's World War III, and if they do, which side will it be on?
