A black racer snake (acer cooperi) was passionately chasing down a Cuban tree frog yesterday, and I got to watch! I have always loved those snakes, and now I do even more. He did not get his frog because I disturbed him, but it warmed the cockles of my heart to know he would have, and does, when I am not around. I have such a snake in the shrubs outside my bedroom window and love that it is there. You may have surmised that I do not admire Cuban tree frogs. True.
I am enjoying my work so much now! We've come together as a true team and the work we do is worthwhile. If I never get a promotion - never get any furtherance of any type - I am fulfilled and will happily continue the work with which I am involved.
Have you ever read "Hind's Feet in High Places?" I was once similar to the character, "Much Afraid," prior to her growth spurt. But I may be coming right along. :)
