One of the best things about having Celosa is that I have Crianza. And I went through a lot of the things with Crianza five years ago that I'm going through with Celosa now.
And even better than that, I have a full record of all the stuff I did with Crianza because I have my livejournal. I've been able to go back and see what I did at various points in Crianza's development and sort of track that with Celosa.
For example, I remembered Crianza's first time getting on the bed by herself. Relampago used to get up there to escape the puppy every now and then, and once he and I were engaged in full tummy rub on the bed, paying absolutely no attention to the irate puppy on the floor. It pissed her off so much that she willed herself on the bed. I remembered the incident, but I didn't remember how old Crianza was when that happened. I went back into my "crianza" tag and found that it was
on October 30, 2003 which put Crianza at just over three months old when she did it.
two weeks later she was more consistent on her getting up there. Somewhere around a month from now, then, I expect that Celosa will be able to get up on the bed.
Celosa this morning decided to initiate relations with Athena in the same way she played with Crianza yesterday. It didn't go as well this time around; chasing a cat ends up with a running, pissed off cat. I missed the whole thing because I was off at boot camp climbing stairs and otherwise huffing and puffing, but Graham said it was hysterical.
One day, I'll talk about something other than puppies.
