Babies and things
My best friend is in town, and I get to go have lunch with her and her almost ten month old baby girl in a few minutes. Yay!
I'm probably not going to hold her, though, because I'm still fighting a cold. Boo!
But I'll go to the beach this weekend and hang out with them for hours and hours and hours. Yay!
This will be the fifth time I've seen the baby since she was born, which for being an out of town kid isn't bad at all. I went to DC a couple of times last year, and she came here a couple of times.
She's my spoil-to-death-until-I-have-my-own-kids kid, and I absolutely adore her. She looks just like her daddy, and she's never cried or wimpered or even sighed dramatically in the time that I've been with her. I gave her a silver baby rattle for Christmas that she absolutely loved, and I am already plotting and planning and scheming for her first birthday.
