Ever since seeing Les Mis twice in the space of eight days, I've been consumed by it. Mostly by the incredible music but also by the characters, specifically Eponine. I understand that her representation in the musical is quite different to the book but, having never read Victor Hugo's tale, I can only comment on the former.

I saw the Hairspray film a few years ago without knowing about it's history on Broadway. After falling in like with the film and in love with the songs, I felt this should be remedied by seeing the musical - which I finally did on Friday night at Star City's Lyric Theatre
