I read other peoples stuff and don't actually write anything of my own to contribute to the journal world. I'm most definitely a taker. Sorry guys, I take things, it's just who I am

Ah. I understand the defense of the valley - and for that matter any place you consider home. It is human nature to love the place you know best. BUT - I will defend myself in saying that while I love the people, I don't love the area. Growth is non existent. I would have a very difficult time finding a good job in the valley despite low cost living. Also, I haven't lived in the valley in a long time, so I have a different take on being there and/or staying. I like to visit, but I couldn't stay. I've been away too long.

Ya know what I mean? It's not that I out grew the valley, its that I just changed and I like where I'm at more so than I like where I was. Nothing against the valley, but I don't LOVE it, I like it. It's where I'm from, but home is where my heart is, and while it will remain with my family, my heart is here (and in Iraq).

No bad blood for the valley. Hell, I'll big up the valley. But, Athens is home for me now (at least until I graduate and move to Cinci, then that'll be home), despite past alliance.

how DARE you even THINK about moving to CINCINATTI,(it sucks so much i can't even spell it!, home of the, dare i say it BENGALS!?!?!?! *shudder* i loved your post by the way. i, too, am a taker. and guilty of not keeping in touch with people. sooooo....we need to hang out sometime, either here OR at home! miss ya girl!
