I hadn't really thought about origami as art before. When I do it, it's more like assembling a toy car or a piece of furniture: fold here, crease there, unfold here. But I guess in the hands of an artist, folding a shape from a piece of paper is no more inherently limiting than carving a sculpture from a single block of stone.
