[Medic has, considering the circumstances, recovered from his run-in with the Post Office spectacularly well. He still can't see, and he still can't remember his own native language, but he has his Kritz (and therefore his sanity) back. He's slowly learning to navigate his house without the use of his eyes; his drone wife is being most helpful. But ( Read more... )

[Mentos? Coke? What?]

I am talking about actual science! For instance, the Mayfield respawn machines. Imagine what we could be capable of if we found them and were able to study how they worked!

How long have you been here? Haven't you died yet?

[This is said with about the same tone as 'don't you brush your teeth every morning?!'.]

The respawn will pick you up, fix you, and put you back in your bed as though nothing happened at all. It's my theory as to how we're brought here in the first place.

Oh, I wouldn't dream of doing such a zhing, Herr. Do you honestly heff such little trust in zhose you trained? I must say, I am disappointed--und possibly a little hurt. [[Exaggerated sniff.]] So cruel, Fritz.

[[Sarcasm everywhere. Do you want to punch him yet, Fritz?]]

[Fritz has been wanting to punch him since forever!]

Indeed I do! It is not as if you vere not at fault for losing track of your own experiments, after all. Or zhe interns, or zhe suppliers--really, you just got so sloppy. It was almost depressingly sad, really.

[[But hold on now, what's this. This Fritz sounds different.]]

[He's just going to ignore everything you said right there, Guntram, or he might have to slam your face repeatedly into an oversized cheese grater (don't ask where he'll get it).]

No. A product of this ridiculous town and the prices it puts on possessions from home.

I am always happy to do experiments. Now that I have a gorgeous new eye I'm functioning normally again.

[Dist's inability to do anything normally goes notably unmentioned.]
