Here's how it works:
1. Open your music library.
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press play.
4. For every question, type the song that's playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button.
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...
7. Select a song you think better fits when appropriate.
8. Comment on both selections in bracketed text.
Opening Credits: Venetian Snares - Richard Divine A+ Student
My Pick: Run Lola Run - Somebody Has to Pay
[Wait...so I'm not going to be staring in my own production? Unfortunate.]
Waking Up: cranky - Forza Azzuri
My Pick - Arcana - Chant of the Awakening Four Tet - Everything is Alright
[This might fit better in "Battle" or "Party".]
First Day of School: They Might Be Giants - Turn Around
my Pick: Jonathan Coulton -
Mandelbrot Set[First Day of assassin school? singing/dancing lessons? necromancy college?]
Falling in Love: Gregorian - Nothing Else Matters
My Pick: Devo - Ton O' Love
[Hey hey! I got one that wasn't horridly out of place...well, sorta. Im also sure I have a better one for my pick, but that's the best I could think of, "There She Is!" was a close second.]
Fight Song: Autechre - Fermium
My Pick: Apollo Smile - Battle Cry
[I'm fairly sure the only way this would be my fight song would be if I was using it as a weapon, which could potentially be rather effective.]
Breaking Up: Trans-Siberian Orchestra - I'll Keep Your Secrets
My Pick: Barenaked Ladies - Enid
[Thats some pretty cheesy breakup music..but I suppose that's the idea. My pick on this one was also extraordinarily easy as it's one I've had in mind for a while.]
Prom: KMFDM - Last Things
My Pick: Green Day - Hitchin A Ride
[I don't think any Prom is cool enough to play something like this. The music that was at my Prom did remind me of a lot Green Day stuff, because a lot of Sum 41 and whoever were really popular at the time, the difference is I *like* Green Day.]
Life: Funker Vogt - Under Control
My Pick: Desert Sessions - Eccentric Man
[There are a few things I had to skip on my library, this is a good example, this is a clip from the "Real Men of Genius" Commercials, but hey, the next one was pretty good. As nice as the first was this was an easy pick for me.]
Driving: Rocket Science - Heavy Traffic
My Pick: F-Zero - Big Blue X
[Another randOWNED selection, first pick was 9 seconds of someone playing Merry Christmas on a Theremin. I also *swear* that's actually the song that came up next. My pick, conversely, is my official "I can't trust myself to drive safely if this is playing" song.]
Flashback: Akira Yamaoka - i feel...
My Pick: The Books - Be Good to Them Always
[Music that would only be appropriate if I was flashing back to a night club...in a bollywood film.]
Getting Back Together: Blake Perdue - Door to the End of Time (from Chrono Symphonic)
My Pick: The White Stripes - Dead Leaves And the Dirty Ground
[Not a terrible choice, really. And my pick is easily the angsty-ist song I actually like. It's totally the song I would sing outside a girls window with a boom box on my head to win her back.]
Wedding: Basil Poledouris - Riding to Doom, Face Paint
My Pick: Arcana - Chant of the Awakening
[LAWL. Honey, we're going to have the best wedding ever, you know that, right?]
Party: The Fiery Furnaces - Don't Dance Her Down
My Pick: Sparks - Dick Around
[The kind of party I like to be at, not like you really need to pay attention to much of the lyrics, after all. The second, however, would be for the sing-along goodness, and to terrify anyone there who didn't know the song.]
Birth of A Child: John Pritchard - Nun Gretel
My Pick: Venetian Snares - All the Children Are Dead
Roadkill - Brand New Baby
Stunt Rock - Fucking Child
Ragnarok Online - Don't Cry Baby
[So...we're going to have a daughter...who's doomed to be eaten? And as for my picks...Yeah, I've got nothing.]
Final Battle: Daknit, Bard of Tarot - A Frog, A Sword, and a Spoony Bard
My Pick: Mago de Oz - Gerdundula
[Hey! I've got a balanced party for my last battle! Win! Another easy pick. In fact, one of the things I'm doing before I die is defeat someone *soundly* while this song is playing.]
Funeral Song: Unknown Artist - My Enemy
My Pick: Tunng - Pool Beneath The Pond
[Serious Techno song...and you wouldn't get the joke until you find out the only lyrics are "Who is my Enemy? Somebody's trying to take me down!". About my pick: I know this sounds
emo but this song makes me feel like I'm dying....but in a good way, so I thought it was appropriate.]
Ending Credits: Lexx - Yo-A-O
My Pick: End of Evangelion - Komm Susser Tod
[I can't recall the name of the actual person who wrote the music for Lexx, but I remember he's a pretty well established guy. Furthermore that's not a bad selection, though better for opening credits.]
