Priceless is the O__O DANGER FACE on my teacher

Today we made our first trials to see if we can make dual fire whirls in the same confined space.

Answer to that is YES. o_____O and our dish of fuel was quite large so the fire whirls both went over 4 feet in height (4 feet was our max height of our barrier)  and 8-10 inch diameter. Dr. Wu had a group of parents and students touring the engineering buildings. He asked us if we had a demo or anything to show the group. Why yes, this is our project and we are still figuring out the dimensions.

Our project was very impressive and uh.. kind of dangerous. Dr. Wu gave us a THIS IS DANGEROUS face and it was really priceless.
One of the questions we received was, "Why aren't you using all flame retardant materials?"
Answer: "We would have, but it was too expensive. Our budget was only $50."

The nicer plywood cost $25 total. One sheet of acrylic is $25....... it barely covers one panel of our large model and we need to make at least two models.

Sadly, my SD card was in my freaking laptop while my camera was with me. So no awesome pictures of crazy dangerous fire whirls that we will probably not do again. SAD.
