Chapter Two
Kame went to the drama location shoot with a dazed look on his face. He wasn’t sure what happened to him in his sleep. He was sure he slept through his relaxing bath and yet he woke up the next day on his bed, all dressed up. Could it be that he was sleepwalking? He couldn’t think of any explanation for it because he didn’t really honestly think that Akki exists… so it must be some sort of a crazy case of sleepwalking.
“Kame?” Koki took the younger man out of his reverie.
“Hm?”
“Are you okay? Did you get some sleep last night?” the older man asked.
“Huh?” Kame wondered aloud. “Oh, yeah. I slept well last night. Much better than the other nights.” He answered. It was true, if it weren’t for the fact that he was freaking out when he woke up that morning, wearing the same clothes he dreamt of wearing while with Akki, he could say he slept really well last night.
“Okay. That’s good to hear. I was thinking of dragging you to a doctor if you still hadn’t slept well last night.” The older man said.
Kame smiled gratefully. “I’m okay, really.” He unbuttoned his shirt and began sorting through the clothes that the stylist left there for Hiroto’s costume. “Aren’t you getting dressed?” he asked Koki, who was currently taking something out from the bentos.
“Me? I’m not scheduled to do any shoots today.”
“Then why are you here?”
“To make sure you were alright?” Koki honestly said. “Maru was bugging me about it last night. He thought you looked more weary and tired than ever so he wanted me to check on you.”
Kame shook his head. “Can you please tell the mother hen to stop worrying about me?”
Koki gave a peace sign. “If he stopped worrying, then he wouldn’t be called the mother hen now, would he?”
The younger of the two sighed. “You’re crazy.”
“So are you.” The rapper laughed heartedly seeing Kame’s frowning face. “You’re at it again, hiding inside your shell… hiding something you don’t want us to know.” Koki started seriously. “I’m seriously getting tired of being shut out.” He pulled the younger man to sit on the couch beside him.
“You know, I hate the turtle analogy every time you want something out of me.” Kame remarked dryly.
The bald man shrugged. “I can’t help it! It’s in your name, idiot.” He glared at the younger man. “And don’t you dare change the subject! Out with it!”
“Out with what?” Kame innocently asked.
“Kame!” Koki warningly said.
“Okay. Gosh, why can’t a man keep a secret or two from his friends?!” Kame rhetorically asked. “Can’t a man have some privacy?”
“Not when you’re with KAT-TUN. Now out with it.” Koki grinned.
Kame hesitated. “It’s nothing to worry about promise.” He started with a sigh. “Jin. It’s just that I didn’t realize how big his presence was to all of us... just now.”
Koki softly smiled. “Oh, him.” He ran his fingers on his baldhead. “I know what you mean.”
“See? I told you it was nothing to worry about.”
“Is he the reason why you’re having trouble sleeping?”
“Uh…yeah, I guess?”
“That baka. He’s not here but you’re still thinking of him.”
The younger man shrugged. “Hey, it’s not just me who’s thinking of him, right?”
“Yeah… I guess?” Koki shook his head. “I wonder what he’s doing now.”
“Maybe pigging out on hamburgers and pizzas?” Kame snickered with the thought.
Koki had a laughing fit. “You’re probably right on that.”
Someone knocked on the dressing room’s door. “Kamenashi-kun? We’re doing the practice shoot.”
“Okay. I’ll be there in a minute.” Kame thanked his manager and turned to his close friend. “You said you don’t have parts to shoot today right?” Koki nodded. “Then go home and rest! If you see or talk to Maru, tell him I’m fine and he does not need to worry his ass over mine.”
Koki grumbled something that Kame didn’t hear before nodding. “Okay. I’ll tell him that then. See you tomorrow, okay?”
Kame smiled and waived goodbye before leaving the dressing room.

After fourteen long hours of filming nonstop, Kame went home a little over two AM. He heard the phone ringing as he entered the living room and dragged himself to the phone to answer it. “Moshi moshi?”
“…Kame?”
Kame’s heart almost stopped beating.
It was Jin.
“Uh… yes? Jin, is that you?”
A loud sigh could be heard from Jin’s side. “Yes. D-did I wake you up? I’ve been calling the last hour or two but you didn’t answer the phone.”
“I just got back from work.” Kame quietly replied. “How are you? How’s the US?”
“Lonely.” Jin answered.
“Oh.” Kame didn’t know how to respond to that.
“And you? How have you been?”
“I’m… okay. My work schedules are all over the place but I’m managing it.”
“Oh… don’t work too hard, okay? It’s… not healthy to work as much as you do.”
Kame frowned. “I know how to take care of myself, thank you very much.”
“I know…” Jin sighed again. “I just... wanted to hear your voice. I... miss you… and the others too. Take care, okay? I need to go now… my phone card is almost out of credits.”
“Jin,” Kame softly started, smiling a little. “You know, you can call my mobile phone anytime you want. I’m almost not home these days... so you probably won’t reach me here each time you call...”
“B-But... you changed numbers... I-I didn’t get the chance to... get your number before I left.” Jin almost whispered.
“I’m giving it to you now. Do you have a pen and paper?” When Jin hummed yes, Kame slowly gave the number out. “Just... call me whenever... you feel like it.”
“I will!” It was obvious Jin was livelier compared from earlier. “Okay. My phone card is really running out of credits. I’ll call you soon.”
“Okay. Bye.” Kame heard a click just after he said his goodbye and wondered if the older man was able to hear it or not. He placed the phone back to its cradle and headed to his bed without taking a bath like his usual routine.
Soon, he was in the comfort of his sleep... until he felt a hand caressing his cheeks so softly, he had goosebumps all over his body.
“Kazu-kun?” a soft voice whispered.
Kame slowly opened his eyes, afraid of what he’ll see if he did...
And saw Akki sitting on his bed with a questioning gaze on him.
“You!” Kame blurted out. “Again?”

A/N: Unbeta'd.
Not much plot development but Jin appeared so ♥ *giggles* If you tell me you still haven’t gotten the clue who Akki really is then I’ll... brick myself to death. I think I’ve given enough clues as to who he is or maybe not... but I really think I did.
