I don't expect Fred Phelps to come to Canada anytime soon, for Parliament passed the gay marriage bill last night. He probably wouldn't like Belgium or the Netherlands either...

ha! your poor mom, when we crossed back into the US, after the Winnipeg Folk Fest in a ratty old minivan at like 1 am with two bearded scruffy guys asleep in the back, they just asked if we were all Americans, barely looked at my license. :)

Thing is, I like most of the Conservative Party's policies, though not their stand on gay marriage. Oh well, the province of Alberta's in a big tiff too, since now gay marriage is legal across the land they can't legally deny requests anymore. Heh.
