I remember when I lost my mind.
Okay, okay I know that I'm preaching to the choir, but GAHAHAHA. - -I was at the market last night to pick up some ginger, cilantro, shitaki mushrooms and bok choy for a Japnese flavored soup* and had to gawk in askance at this month's US Vogue cover with Kiera Knightly and a whole hullaballoo about omg Anglomania !

Okay, so Kiera is Twiggy thin and all, but this is just icky to my eyes. That and the pink lipstick, the painted on eyebrows and the super airbrushed bland looks ( style notes here). Kiera is lovely and gorgeous and all of 20. I can't wait to see what she could look like if allowed by her handlers to have a little muscle tone and a few curves or softness. Even Jane Fonda (yep, she was anorexic for years, said she alost died until she got into fitness) commented in an interview on the intense pressure on young actresses today to look "perfect". IT's all air brushed! That's not real life with zits and wrinkles and a lived in body. /rant
Anglomania Ok! the other wtf part of this cover is the emphasis on the OMG the Brits are a) nekked, b) sexy, c) cross-dressers, d) funny e) wild. I was about to roll my eyes until (real life Brit) fleshdress posted her favorite cross-dressed Boyd Holbrook photo. hee!
So, is this fair of US Vogue to stereotype you Brits like this? Or do you like this description?
