BSG Razor
Sky one showed Razor last night happened across it accidentally whilst wrapping presents.
Not impressed. Thought there was a lot of redundant narrative in the storyline, didn't much care for the Thrace clone or he story reminded me a lot about the slayer I didn't care for in issue 5. Saw the end coming from the first frame so totally lacked any drama for me.
Nothing wrong with the performances or the effects.
Not that bothered about seeing the old style centurions , although as a mythos building episode it worked okay. Once again I left to wonder at the ineptitude of Sci-fi strike teams.
It did confirm my dislike of Kara Thrace which is sad as I liked her character all through seasons 1 and most of S2 before the creative disaster that was S3. Hopefully the hybrids prediction will be true as after S3 there isn't a single character I like anymore the finale took the last ones and wrecked them.
Once more we have a heavy handed political commentary that's so obvious it has to be hammered home several times. If they were more subtle I wouldn't mind it but still the same S3 problem.
If I had see this a year ago before S3 then I might have reacted differently.
So 6/10 from me. It's the holiday season and I am feeling generous.
