My first Christmas in Japan was a great experience! Actually I had hoped to be able to win a ticket to Luna Sea's free concert on the 25th, but I was unlike so I decided to join my roommates for a Christmas party.
In the morning we all went for groceries and then cooked a European/American style Christmas dinner from 1 til 6 o'clock. The food turned out great and thanks to (my neighbour) Jill's Christmas decoration there was a real Christmas atmosphere.
Later that evening we had a second Christmas party with other people from the apartment and we did a gift exchange as well. I had a great time, thanks everyone!

I have no plans for New Year's yet. If my boyfriend won't go back to his family in the south, I will probably meet him. OTherwise I might join my roommates for a club night, followed by watching the first sunrise & a Shinto shrine visit.
A couple of days ago there was an earthquake in the south of Japan, which I think made the news in Europe. I oculd actually feel the earthquake in Kanagawa as well. There seem to be lots of earthquakes lately. I wonder if that's a good or a bad sign...
I managed to find a job as Enlgish teacher, though it's more working as a conversation partner instead of really teaching. So far I only worked two days. It's nice but sometimes a bit difficult, especially when the students in the same groups are at different levels. In December and January I only work a few hours a month. I really hope that will increase in January, because this is not enough.
Also, I passed the school's test and will move to the next class in January. My Japanese is improving, but I wonder if I'll be at business level at the end of June.
